.$20 Headphones.
As the title suggests, these are my $20 headphones. Well, wait, that's not true. Actually, these are Tom's $20 headphones, since MY $20 headphones were being used at that moment to send delicious musical vibrations into my ear canals. But they are identical, so we can pretend that you're seeing mine. Let's do that, shall we?

The assignment was to take an ordinary object and attempt to render it accurately enough that it could be used as a catalog illustration. I'm not sure if I succeeded or not in that regard, but I was pleased enough with the result. I made a conscious effort to get some good dark values, since our professor has commented on a class-wide tendency to stay in the weaker end of the value range.

By the by, if you're looking for a decent pair of headphones on a budget, these get my recommendation. They're comfortable for long periods of time and produce satisfactory sound quality. Maybe I'll invest in some higher-quality ones later, but these are suiting me just fine for now. A friend of mine spent $120 on a pair of headphones that are painful just to put on your head, let alone wear them for any length of time. Why am I telling you this? You don't need my help to buy headphones.
