This was another picture that I drew last year and didn't get around to coloring until now. The drawing was requested by my girlfriend, who wanted a picture of herself as a fairy. Being the good boyfriend that I am, I dove right in and had the pencils done right away. And... then being considerably less good, I took half a year to get around to coloring it. Fortunately, she is the Best Girl and has mostly forgiven me.

I originally envisioned her to be a blue, glowy being with light shining out of her eyes, but my coloring skills just weren't up to the task. In fact, if I hadn't gotten so frustrated with my first three attempts, it wouldn't have taken so long for me to finish it. Now that I've gone the other route, I think I like the clothed, human-looking version better. I also wanted to hand-draw the forest background, but I wasn't doing it justice so I figured a photograph with a Photoshop filter would suffice for now. Perhaps when my skills have improved at some later date I can come back and do the background I originally wanted.
