.Eclipse.
This picture is the product of a "gift-exchange" between myself and Aaron (from Subpatch.com). Each of us was free to choose any of the other's characters to draw, and neither of us would reveal which one we had chosen until we were ready to exchange the pictures. Aaron chose to draw Kat Savage, and you can view his version right here.

I decided to pick one of his older characters that he invented years ago: Eclipse. I chose that character because Aaron had admitted to me on a previous occasion that Eclipse unintentionally turned out as a Moon Knight knockoff and he wasn't really pleased with the design. My motivation was to take a character who looked like a somewhat typical "superhero" and make him seem like a normal guy. It seemed to me that the easiest way to dispell the superhero illusion is to draw the hero before he's fully "hero-ified."

So here is my version of Eclipse (with a few costume and proportional adjustments) putting on his boots before a night of fighting crime or whatever it is he does.
